HB 1287 is Now Likely to be
Called to the House Floor for a Vote on May 22, 2015

The ISIA has learned that HB 1287 is now likely to be called to the House floor for a vote on May 22, 2015. Of specific note are the 4 amendments to the bill:
Amendment 1
Addresses the causation standard and establishes a “major contributing” cause standard.
Amendment 2
Revises Section 8.1 and application of AMA Guides for impairment to awards for permanent partial disability.
Amendment 3
Further reduces medical through a 30% medical fee schedule cut with the exception of evaluation and management or physical medicine.
Amendment 4
Revises the Insurance Code and addresses WC insurance rate regulation. Important for self-insureds, it provides for fee reductions with implementation of certified safety and return-to-work programs.
